“Don’t worry, Grandma. It’s fun to be dead.”

Those eight words would be enough to raise the eyebrows of even the most hardened horror reporter, especially when they are uttered by a creature that looks as if they have not only been through Hell so many times they have a fucking condo there, they’ve also made it there own. But when it’s just one small part of one the most insane, and genuinely disturbing, trailers this reporter has seen in a very long time, then Lee Cronin’s The Mummy promises to be on another level of freaky ass shit when it drops this April 17th.

Having disappeared without a trace eight years prior, a families life is turned upside down when their daughter Katie is found alive, but not well, inside a sarcophagus. Katie is changed, and not for the better.

Written and Directed by Lee Cronin and starring Jack Reynor, Laia Costa, May Calamawy, Natalie Grace, and Veronica Falcón, if this trailer doesn’t get your adrenaline rushing, your heart pounding, and have you diving for the safety of your nearest pillow then you might already be dead.

But that’s okay. Remember?

“Don’t worry, Grandma. It’s fun to be dead.
