Karlshamnโ€™s long-running noise merchants Signo Rojo are set to return on April 17, 2026 with their new single Growth, released via Majestic Mountain Records. The track marks the bandโ€™s first new material in their current run and continues a trajectory theyโ€™ve been carving out of the Swedish underground for over fifteen years.

Blending elements of sludge, doom, hardcore, and punk, Growth arrives as a dense, confrontational piece that leans heavily into the bandโ€™s established sound, unpolished in the right places, but deliberate in its weight and pacing. While comparisons to acts like Neurosis, Big Business, and Baroness may come naturally, the track reinforces Signo Rojoโ€™s preference for doing things on their own terms rather than following a template.

Lyrically, Growth takes aim at the modern self-improvement industry, questioning the culture around monetised personal development and the idea that change can be packaged and sold. Itโ€™s a thematic direction that aligns with the bandโ€™s broader tendency to focus on uncomfortable or confrontational subject matter rather than easy messaging.

The band describe the track as:

โ€œA mammoth-stomping slab of doom-infused sludge that delivers spine-shaking riffs and soaring choruses.โ€

Positioning it as a statement piece for whatโ€™s ahead.

Production on Growth was handled internally before being passed to Elias Mellberg for mixing and mastering. The result is a sound that balances rawness with clarity, maintaining the physical weight of the instrumentation without losing definition.

Growth serves as the first release from Signo Rojo in 2026, with further activity expected to follow.
