Oaklandโs volume merchants Disastroid are back with something raw, loud, and very much live.
The band have released Live At Tiny Telephone, a two-track EP captured inside Tiny Telephone Studios and dropped via Doom Stew Records. It marks their first release with new drummer Jordan Perkins-Lewis, who wastes no time making his presence felt across the two tracks, Willows and Glass Brick.
This isnโt a polished, studio-sanded affair. The session was filmed live, with the band diving straight into the friction and unpredictability of a real performance. The result keeps that mix of Grunge, Stoner Rock, Noise Rock, Sludge, Math Rock and Alternative Metal intact.
Recorded on February 14th, and engineered by Danielle Goldsmith, the audio is incredibly tight, mesning nothing is lost in the mix.
On the visual side, Perkins-Lewis teams up with Cristina Lewis to handle production, shooting, and editing.
Beyond the release, Disastroid are lining up shows with Witch Ripper in May, before linking up with Helms Alee later in the year.
