Uncle Hauk has officially unveiled Tsunami, the lead single from the upcoming solo album Lose Your Illusions.

The project of multi-instrumentalist Hauk Heimdallsman, known for his work in Black Hat Society and Elf Queen, the new record spans nine tracks that refuse to be pinned down to a single genre. Instead, the music fluidly navigates through post-punk, alternative rock, metal, jazz, and hard rock, utilizing a rich palette of heavy guitars, acoustic textures, keyboards, and saxophone work.​

Thematically, Lose Your Illusions is a dark and restless exploration of reality through the eyes of someone hardened by loss and disappointment. It occupies the tense space between collapse and endurance, a sentiment encapsulated in the lyric:

“The world is on fire, but I dream of rain.”

While the record confronts the bitterness and grief of a life that is rarely fair, it remains grounded in a sense of defiance rather than hopelessness.
