Since forming in 2022, Enemies Everywhere has been one of the busiest names in the Finnish Extreme Metal scene. After a massive run of shows at festivals like Bloodstock and Nummirock, and the addition of vocalist Sasu Mikkola in 2025, the band is officially moving into their next chapter. Their latest single, Atonement, is out now, continuing the heavy, blackened direction they started with Undead Masquerade.
This track is a bit of a unique one for the band, as it was largely the brainchild of their producer, Atte. He brought a nearly finished demo to the table, and the band decided to give him total creative freedom, even with the lyrics, to see his vision through. Once everyone agreed it was a perfect fit for the new record, guitarist Otso went into the studio to track what the band calls some of his most compelling work yet. To get there, Atte reportedly pushed Otso to dig into the darkest corners of his mind, and that intensity definitely translates to the final sound.โ
Musically, Atonement is a mix of old-school Death Metal riffs and modern Deathcore hallmarks like choirs, orchestral layers, and relentless blast beats. Itโs a solid look at where theyโre heading as they finish up their debut album, which is expected to drop this autumn. In the meantime, the band is hitting the road through the Baltics and Poland before heading back for a headlining show in Helsinki and a busy summer festival season.
Atonement is available now.
