Londonโ€™s own Steak has officially broken cover, unveiling their massive new single Cometh. This Sludge-Heavy offering serves as the first taste of their upcoming studio album, which is slated to arrive in Autumn 2026 via their new home at Stickman Records. โ€‹

Cometh is a slow-burning wall of fuzz that leans heavily into the monolithic riffs and Desert Rock grooves the band has spent over a decade perfecting. The release is paired with a dark, atmospheric animated video that mirrors the trackโ€™s ominous tone. According to the band, this is just the beginning of what is shaping up to be their heaviest and most expansive project to date.โ€‹

The announcement comes at a busy time for Steak. The quartet is currently gearing up for high-voltage appearances at both Desertfest London and Desertfest Berlin later this month. Following the festival circuit, they will be hitting the road as special guests for Psych-Rock heavyweights All Them Witches on several European dates, a pairing that further solidifies Steakโ€™s standing as a cornerstone of the heavy underground. โ€‹

Since forming in 2012, Steak has evolved from Londonโ€™s murky bar scene into a global force in stoner rock. While their sound has flirted with progressive and post-rock textures on previous records like Acute Mania, their shit kickinโ€™ ethos remains at the heart of everything they do. With Cometh, they seem ready to push that no-frills energy into even darker territory.
