Epictronic has officially signed the Italian Progressive Metal outfit GanEden. The label is set to reissue the bandโs self-titled debut album, marking the groupโs introduction to the Epictronic roster.
The Trento-based four-piece, comprised of vocalist Morena Dallapiccola, guitarist Andrea Gottoli, bassist Carlo Mirabassi, and drummer Davide Battisti, was formed in 2023. Their music is rooted in the structural complexity of Progressive Metal, shifting between aggressive, heavy riffing and atmospheric, introspective sections.
The album is a speculative concept piece that reimagines the Book of Genesis. In this version of the story, Adam and Eve are portrayed as genetic experiments created by a higher intelligence rather than divine beings. After their exile from the Garden of Eden, they are forced to confront the harsh realities of violence and human imperfection.
The record explores a dual narrative: the subjects attempting to find their makers while the creators witness their experiment fall apart. To mirror this emotional arc, GanEden utilizes the full breadth of the progressive metal genre, balancing dense arrangements with ethereal passages to tell a story of moral failure and unraveling creation.
