Jusy when you thought it was safe to go into the cupboards, Amityville Shark House is heading to home digital release on June 30th. The independent project is being distributed through a partnership between Lionsgate and Grindhouse Entertainment.
The story begins when Richard unearths a malevolent shark artifact, accidentally unleashing a primitive, predatory curse. The entity slowly bonds with Richard’s physical form, turning the Amityville into a slaughterhouse once more. As the body count climbs, the monster gains strength, leading a radical localized cult to believe that their dark deity has been resurrected. A desperate struggle ensues to terminate the massacre before the town is entirely overwhelmed by the ancient malice.
The feature is helmed by co-directing duo Will Collazo Jr. (Amityville Thanksgiving) and Shawn C. Phillips (Amityville Karen), who wrote the screenplay alongside Julie Anne Prescott. Beyond their writing duties, Phillips and Prescott pulled double duty by starring in the film alongside a cast that includes Tasha Tacosa, Maritza Brikisak, Gigi Gustin (The Retaliators), Adam Marino, and Carl Solomon.
