Wormholedeath has officially announced the signing of Italian groove death metal outfit New Sun, alongside the impending release of their debut full-length album, Hanged’s Fate, scheduled to drop on August 7th. Formed in Northern Italy between Padua and Venice, the band emerged from an underground creative process driven by musicians with diverse extreme metal backgrounds. This experimental project quickly evolved into a razor-sharp four-piece, refining their identity into a direct, impact-driven sound that anchors itself in groove-laden death metal while seamlessly pulling from thrash, black metal, and modern metal influences.

Hanged’s Fate blends crushing, rhythmic riffs and extreme metal intensity with dark, atmospheric storytelling, exploring the psychological friction between control, self-deception, and personal liberation. Rather than relying on a predictable sonic blueprint, New Sun uses these shifting heavy textures to create a fluid, gripping journey across the album’s tracklist. The record marks a crucial milestone for the quartet as they prepare to introduce their distinct brand of aggression to a global audience.
