Portuguese technical thrash metal unit Shadowmare have announced their highly anticipated return with their third studio album, Transfiguration, scheduled to drop on August 11th.

The album marks the band’s first new music following a turbulent period of internal transition. After navigating several lineup changes, the group has reconstituted as a streamlined four-piece. This new era has fundamentally reshaped how they write and arrange, resulting in a batch of material that is noticeably shorter and more direct. However, fans of their intricate musicianship need not worry—their signature technical edge remains firmly at the core of their identity.

Lyrically, Transfiguration acts as an honest, introspective look at the trials the band endured over the last few years. Each track documents a specific chapter of that journey, from the creative roadblocks and personal friction that threatened to derail the project to the collective choice to forge ahead.
