Italian alternative progressive metal outfit Red Code have signed with label Epictronic. To mark the new partnership, the group has released their new single and official music video, Quarantine, which serves as the lead preview from their debut EP, Traces of Unease and Discomfort (Episode 1), scheduled for release this September.
Quarantine forms one installment of a broader multimedia concept alongside upcoming tracks Toxic Karma and Checkmate. Together, the three songs make up An Archive of Us, a sci-fi thriller short film produced by S@NGIORGIO 2020 with technical support from Infinity Digital. The project uses a dystopian narrative as a backdrop to examine themes of human control and psychological tension.
The track highlights the band’s blend of alternative and progressive metal, pairing heavy guitar work with lead vocal performances from frontwoman Lenina.
The band comments on their signing with Epictronic:
โSigning with Epictronic is, for us, both a wonderful surprise and the culmination of years of work aimed at giving the metal scene in our region the recognition it deserves beyond our borders. It’s the icing on the cake after years of stages, festivals, and events shared with the bands that helped keep this scene alive. Our biggest thank you goes to our fans โ those who’ve followed us for years, and those about to discover us.โ
Quarantine is out now across all major digital streaming platforms, accompanied by the official music video. Traces of Unease and Discomfort (Episode 1) will follow this September via Epictronic.
