War metal band Trench Warfare will release their new eight-track album, Achtung! Destroy The Weak, on August 10th via Conjuring Records. The upcoming record showcases a heavier, more aggressive approach influenced by death metal acts such as Morbid Angel and Dismember, while drawing on the stylistic sounds of bands like Deiphago, Diocletian, Genocide Shrines, and Tetragrammacide.
Recorded at Come And Track It Studios in Austin, Texas by John Petri and Justin McClenny, the album was mixed in Florida by Jarrett Pritchard. The recording line-up features vocalist Jay Gorania, guitarist and primary songwriter Tony Goyang Jr., guitarist Dustin Putz, bassist Jake Holmes, and session drummer Ronnie Parmer of Malevolent Creation.
Following the recording sessions, co-founding member Tony Goyang Jr. amicably departed the group. Trench Warfare currently operates as a trio featuring Gorania, Putz, and new drummer JP Campo.
Vocalist Jay Gorania reflected on the core thematic direction of the album:
“A motif running throughout the album is the necessity to avoid victimhood and to celebrate and achieve self-actualization and success through will to power and strength.โ
