Dutch heavy rock trio The Machine have announced their new album Another Sun and shared its opening single, Drop/See. The album is set for release on October 2nd.

Released alongside an official music video, Drop/See pairs thick, groove-led riffs with the bandโ€™s trademark psychedelic edge, giving listeners a first look at the expansive sound running throughout the new record.

Recorded at guitarist and vocalist David Eeringโ€™s Evolver Studio in Dordrecht, the album is the first to feature the bandโ€™s current line-up. Free-flowing jams remain at the heart of The Machineโ€™s songwriting, while the new material places equal emphasis on memorable hooks, dynamic arrangements and the bandโ€™s unmistakable blend of heavy rock, space rock and psychedelia.

Speaking about the record, Eering said:

โ€œAnother Sun is an important milestone to me personally, after a couple of years with (apparent) reduced activity of the band โ€“ itโ€™s the first record with this great lineup and the first one that I recorded at my own place Evolver Studio. Without the intention to do so, I think we managed to honor a more old school The Machine vibe while also stepping into the future. Canโ€™t wait for this one to be released and to play shows in support of it.โ€

Another Sun is available to pre-order now and will be be released through Blues Funeral Recordings in the UK and North America, with Awe Records and Stickman Records covering the European release.
