Dutch heavy rock trio The Machine have announced their new album Another Sun and shared its opening single, Drop/See. The album is set for release on October 2nd.
Released alongside an official music video, Drop/See pairs thick, groove-led riffs with the bandโs trademark psychedelic edge, giving listeners a first look at the expansive sound running throughout the new record.
Recorded at guitarist and vocalist David Eeringโs Evolver Studio in Dordrecht, the album is the first to feature the bandโs current line-up. Free-flowing jams remain at the heart of The Machineโs songwriting, while the new material places equal emphasis on memorable hooks, dynamic arrangements and the bandโs unmistakable blend of heavy rock, space rock and psychedelia.
Speaking about the record, Eering said:
โAnother Sun is an important milestone to me personally, after a couple of years with (apparent) reduced activity of the band โ itโs the first record with this great lineup and the first one that I recorded at my own place Evolver Studio. Without the intention to do so, I think we managed to honor a more old school The Machine vibe while also stepping into the future. Canโt wait for this one to be released and to play shows in support of it.โ
Another Sun is available to pre-order now and will be be released through Blues Funeral Recordings in the UK and North America, with Awe Records and Stickman Records covering the European release.
