A Secret Revealed have unveiled Disheartened, the first single from their upcoming fourth full-length, The Ruin I Summoned Forth, with Der Weg einer Freiheit vocalist Nikita Kamprad joining the Würzburg post-metal quintet on the track.

Due out on October 16 through Lifeforce Records, the eight-track album continues the band’s heavy and atmospheric approach while bringing its black metal and melodic death metal influences further into the foreground. The material moves between dense, forceful passages and more fragile sections, with occasional folk-inspired touches adding another layer to the arrangements.

The Ruin I Summoned Forth follows the band’s 2015 debut The Bleakness, released through Bastardized Records, and their two subsequent Lifeforce releases, Sacrifices and When The Day Yearns For Light.
