Northern Irish death/doom metal band The Crawling will release their new EP, What We Leave Behind, on October 2 through Grindscene Records.
Formed in Lisburn in 2014, The Crawling have built their sound around death/doom metal while developing a style that has remained distinctly their own. The bandโs catalogue includes three full-length albums, among them Wolves And The Hideous White and 2023โs All Of This For Nothing, alongside a series of EPs, singles and live releases.
What We Leave Behind focuses on the way people can become trapped in memories of the past, looking at how nostalgia, loss and regret can begin to overshadow the present and make it harder to look towards the future.

The drums for the EP were recorded at The Parlour Recording Studios, with the remaining recording, mixing and mastering handled by the band. The artwork comes from Redamaut.
โThe past is behind us,โ explains vocalist and guitarist Andy Clarke. โWe spend too long lamenting what has been, rather than being mindful of the present and the joy it can bring.โ
What We Leave Behind will be available on CD, cassette and digital formats through Grindscene Records.
