Portuguese solo project SIGILO is set to release its debut full-length, Gloria ad Inferi, on October 23rd via Alma Mater Records, and the second single, As Cosmic Forces Rise, is out now on streaming platforms.

The project is the work of a single mastermind who’s been active in the Portuguese underground since 2014, most notably under the name Mournkind. That outfit was put to bed in 2019 to make way for SIGILO, which resurfaced with a split release titled Sermão alongside Brazilian act Luxúria de Lillith before putting together this first proper long-player.

If you’re looking for raw, solitary black metal from the Iberian underground that sticks strictly to the classic second-wave blueprint, As Cosmic Forces Rise is available to stream now. Physical pre-orders for Gloria ad Inferi are live ahead of the October release.
