Thy Sanatorium are my breakout band of 2026. I have raved about their self-titled debut album to anyone who will listen, as well as here on the site, and I genuinely believe—without my usual grandiose statements—that they just need to be heard for people to get on the train to the sanatorium.

Anyway, all ass-kissing aside, if you need a place to start, then I can think of nowhere better than their new video for I Monster, which is out now on that there YouTube.

A horror-fuelled companion piece to the already incredible track, the video gives nods to J-Horror, classic horror, zombie horror, fucking clown horror (what? Spooky-ass clowns are spooky-ass clowns), and all points in-between. It is a visual assault for the eyes while I Monster attacks your ears.

Just don’t watch it in front of the children. Not unless you don’t fancy another good night’s sleep for the next few months.
