If youโ€™ve got a soft spot for mid-90s metallic hardcore, heavy grooves and music that sounds like it wants to punch you in the fucking face, Birminghamโ€™s Blood of the Argonaut are releasing their new single Hold The Line this Friday, October 9.

The West Midlands outfit list influences ranging from Terror and Madball to Metallica and Tool, which is one hell of a combination on paper, but the result is pretty straightforward: heavy, staccato-riffed metallic punk built around big fucking grooves rather than layers of studio polish.

Hold The Line is the bandโ€™s third single and gives us another taste of their upcoming debut full-length, The Brutal Truth, which is due to arrive in early 2027.

The single lands on streaming services this Friday, and if sweaty basement venues, beer-slicked floors and riffs that sound like theyโ€™re about to kick the door off its hinges are your thing, this might be worth keeping an ear out for.
