Finnish solo project Wooden Shadow have released their new single Blackened Roses Fall, the latest track from their upcoming second album Silverlake, which arrives on November 19, 2026 via Inverse Records.

Based in Ylöjärvi since 2020, Wooden Shadow is the work of Jeremia Ponto, who handles the writing and instrumentation himself. The project combines atmospheric folk metal with classic Finnish melodic death metal and darker black metal influences, with themes of nature, human darkness and mortality running through the music.

For Blackened Roses Fall, Ponto hands the vocals over to guest singer Jaana Juntunen, whose melancholic delivery sits alongside cold melodic guitar work and gives the track a more sorrowful feel.
