Italian black metal outfit Amthrya return on October 11 with their new album Onnen.

Fronted by Kasumi Onryō and working with a revised lineup, the band mix dissonant black metal with Japanese folklore. The record takes its title from the concept of Onnen (a persistent, deep-seated rancour) and treats hatred as an active physical force driving the world toward collapse.

Structured as a five-act opera, the five tracks follow that central malice as it spreads through reality, fueling conflicts, poisoning surroundings, and dragging everything into ruin.

Onnen is out October 11.
