Luxembourgian atmospheric doom rock project Ptolemea will release a stripped-back six-track acoustic EP, The Antfarm Session, early next month via Portuguese underground imprint Ragingplanet. Conceived by bandleader and vocalist Priscila Da Costa, the session revisits key material from the projectโ€™s 2025 full-length Kali, stripping away modern production layers to focus on core folk structures and acoustic instrumentation.

Tracked at Antfarm Studio alongside producer Tue Madsen (Moonspell, The Haunted, Sirenia), the performance strips the original arrangements down to bare guitar and voice. By eliminating heavy rock layering and atmospheric production, the recording presents the compositions in their most direct form, emphasizing space, vocal dynamic control, and sparse rhythmic foundation.

The collection opens with the unvarnished vocal delivery of Gaviota before working through reinterpreted versions of Aqui, Ali, Acolรก, Guilhotina, Breathe, and Kura. The EP culminates in a reworked take on Kali, reframing the original heavy title track as a subdued, acoustic-driven closing piece.

Following the EP’s completion, Da Costa and Madsen are slated to reconvene in mid-2027 to begin production on the next full-length Ptolemea album.

The Antfarm Session drops November 6th.
