Finnish melodic death metal act Lights To Remain have revealed Shattered Reality, their forthcoming second full-length album, set for release via Inverse Records. To accompany the announcement, the band has issued lead single Into the Unknown alongside an official music video.
The single represents the first material composed by the group’s current operating lineup, capturing the cleaner, melodic direction of the forthcoming record. The arrangements combine 1990s guitar leads with shifting rhythms and anthemic choruses drawn from 2000s metalcore influences.
The song focuses on human and animal relationships, specifically exploring the adoption of rescue animals. The accompanying visual piece was filmed in direct collaboration with local Finnish animal shelter Elรคinsuojelukeskus Miu, managed by the animal welfare organization Kaakkois-Suomen elรคinsuojeluyhdistys ry.
Shattered Reality arrives in early 2027 via Inverse Records.
