German sludge outfit Saraksh have released Confinement: Bottom Deep, the second single from their upcoming album Abiram. It follows Forlorn as the band begin unveiling a record that continues the story introduced on their 2023 release, Moloch: refactored.

Saraksh formed in 2018 around guitarist and vocalist Severin Mรคker. Their music combines crushing riffs with chants, synths and layers of guitar noise, with each element serving a larger narrative rather than simply piling on the heaviness for its own sake. The band draw inspiration from Converge, Ulcerate, Totem Skin and Omega Massif, bringing together influences that give their work plenty of room for both abrasion and atmosphere.

Abiram picks up immediately after the events of Moloch: refactored, following its protagonist as he leaves a ruined city in a state of total despair. Thereโ€™s a continuing story running through the bandโ€™s releases, so this isnโ€™t simply a case of another album arriving with a fresh collection of songs. The new record pushes that narrative forward, with Confinement: Bottom Deep offering the latest glimpse of where it leads.

Confinement: Bottom Deep is available now. Abiram is due for release on 20th November 2026.
