US death/doom project A Sow of Violence has released Sleeping with Flies as the lead single from upcoming concept EP The Unravelling. Issued through Circle Seven Studios, the track marks the newest digital release from the outfit.

Started in 2020 by Jason Korolenko as an extreme solo outlet, A Sow of Violence builds on dark atmospheres, heavy riffs and haunting melodies. The material works through stark thematic contrasts, balancing chaos against beauty and life against decay.

Sleeping with Flies uses acrophobia as a metaphor for personal collapse and betrayal. Built around violins, off-kilter guitar work and harsh vocals, the track stands as Korolenko’s most accessible piece to date without dropping the project’s extreme foundation.
