Independent production house Bankhead Productions have announced a digital release date for the supernatural action-horror thriller The Town That Takes. Directed by Britt Bankhead from a script co-written with Jonathan Blaze, the film marks Bankhead’s directorial debut following its limited theatrical run earlier this summer.

The narrative follows Dean Richardson, a troubled Army veteran who travels to North Carolina to reconnect with his estranged twelve-year-old son following the sudden death of his ex-wife. After stopping in a remote backwoods town plagued by ritualistic killings and reports of inhuman creatures, Richardson must team up with a local detective when his son vanishes, uncovering a threat tied to an ancient legend known as Croatoan.

The cast features Bankhead alongside Miles Mussenden, Grace Patterson, Mike Markoff, and Nico Tirozzi.

The Town That Takes will be available to rent or purchase digitally across North America on Apple TV, Prime Video, and Fandango from 7th November 2026.
