Hungarian sludge, progressive, and stoner metal project Embertears have announced their upcoming full-length album, Songs For The Rain God Pt. 2. Founded in Győr in 2021 as a solo venture by Tamás “Tom” Géza Albert, the project continues its focus on singular, concept-driven works.

The new record builds directly upon the narrative established on 2025’s Songs For The Rain God Pt. 1, examining the Spanish conquest of Mesoamerica. Written from contrasting perspectives, the material explores the historical collision between the Aztec Empire and the forces led by Hernán Cortés through central themes of conflict and religious belief.

The arrangements pair heavy, distorted riffs with cleaner guitar passages across shifting time signatures including 5/4 and 6/4 meters. Albert handled the entire production process independently, writing, performing, recording, mixing, and mastering the album in its entirety.

Songs For The Rain God Pt. 2 arrives on CD digipack and digital formats on 20th November 2026 via Bitume Prods.
