But what ol’ Benny boy should’ve add to that famous quote is: “… Oh, and big fucking monsters stomping on city’s and beating the shite out of each other. That will always be entertaining.”

And if that’s your kind of thing – and let’s face it, it is – then Apple TV+ have you covered with their new trailer for Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, the latest 10 part instalment from Legendary’s Monsterverse, premiering February 27th.

After the first seasons slow as an iceberg, yet gripping nonetheless, pacing and story building, it seems as if Legendary have cranked everything up to eleven, with a brand new big bad in the shape of Titan X (who may or may not have a passing resemblance to a certain Cthulhu) coming through the timey-wimey portal thing, to wreak havoc on the world.

So, how do you defeat a big fucking monster, I hear you ask? Why, dear reader, by unleashing two more big fucking monsters to kick its ass.

Cue Godzilla and Kong, in what looks like a throwdown for the ages.

Starring Kurt Russell, Wyatt Russell, Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Joe Tippett, Anders Holm, and Amber Midthunder, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters promises to be a monsterfest of carnage and destruction, unlike anything we’ve seen before.
