What happens when Aaron Eckhart and Sir Ben Kingsley pilot a commercial flight with plenty of cannon fodder… er… I mean, passengers on board? Simple, you have one of the most spectacular crashes of all time – including a cartwheeling plane that just has to be seen to be believed – in Magenta Light Studios Deep Water, the upcoming movie from director Renny Harlin (Deep Blue Sea, Cliffhanger).
But that’s not all.
The few who make it through the first disaster quickly discover they’ve just cleared the appetizer round. Enter: several enormous sharks with zero patience and excellent dental work.
According to the press blurb, over on Bloody Disgusting:
“A flight from Los Angeles to Shanghai goes down in the middle of the Pacific. After surviving the crash, the survivors soon discover they’re not alone and they must survive the shark infested waters. The terrified group is forced to work together and overcome their differences if they hope to escape their sinking plane and the frenzy of sharks.”
Which sound to me as if Deep Water is going to be full of massive explosions, mucho mucho survival horror, and more sharks than you can shake a Quint at.
Deep Water is out May 1st.
