A domestic nightmare with a very sharp edge is finally making its way out into the world. The Step Daddy, a serial killer thriller produced back in 2020, is set to hit Digital on April 28 via Lionsgate.
Directed and written by Thomas J. Churchill, the film kicks things off with a brutal turning point: a seemingly devoted stepfather turns violent, attacking his own family and setting off a chain reaction that only gets worse from there. Whatever mask he was wearing doesn’t just slip, it shatters.
At the centre is Tim, a man who presents himself as calm, thoughtful, and dependable. Yet underneath that, something far more dangerous lies. As he moves forward, leaving a trail of victims behind him, it becomes clear this isn’t a one-time break, it’s who he is. And he’s not stopping.
The cast includes Vincent M. Ward, Ptosha Storey, Lew Temple, and Nick Gomez, alongside Felissa Rose, Sadie Katz, and Rusty Coones.
As suspicion begins to grow within his new family, the situation tightens into a race against time. The truth is getting closer to the surface, and once it gets through, there’s no telling how much damage will be done before anyone can stop him.
Produced by Hollywood Media Bridge, The Step Daddy arrives April 28th, bringing with it a reminder that sometimes the most dangerous monster is already inside the house.
