A new look at Bari Kang’s Itch! is here, and it wastes no time turning a survival story into a pressure cooker with teeth.

At the centre is a father trying to keep his daughter safe from a vicious outbreak that causes it victims to itch like crazy and then turn into the kind of monsters you wouldn’t want to find hiding under you bed. He decides the best way to achieve this goal is by setting up shop in a convenience store that looks safe enough. Fluorescent lights, stocked shelves, the usual lie. However, that illusion doesn’t last. What starts as shelter quickly turns into a trap, with the real threat standing shoulder to shoulder inside.

As the infection creeps closer, the people trapped within start to crack. Suspicion spreads faster than the disease, and every choice feels like flipping a coin with death in the line. Between the collapsing trust and the closing walls, making it out the other side stops being about escape and starts being about who you’re willing to become.

Starring Kang alongside Patrick Michael Valley, Ximena Uribe, Mia Ventura Lucas, and Douglas Stirling, Itch! looks like a tight, nasty little ride where the virus is only half the problem.

Itch! hits digital in the UK April 20th, before heading to the US on April 21st.
