Basque black metal project Aschen have unveiled the official video for Azken Arbolak, one of the standout tracks from their debut album, The Never Ending Search, released through WormHoleDeath.

The album will receive its worldwide CD release on July 31st, with a Japanese edition following on August 28th.

Translated as โ€œThe Last Treesโ€, Azken Arbolak explores the destruction of the natural world through the lens of black metal, presenting the last surviving forests as enduring guardians that outlive humanityโ€™s greed and destruction. Drawing on powerful ecological themes, the song ultimately looks beyond despair, imagining nature reclaiming what has been lost.

Filmed among the forests of the Basque Country, with most locations found in the Nafarroa region, the accompanying video reinforces the trackโ€™s connection to the landscapes that inspired its message.

With The Never Ending Search continuing to gather attention following its release, Azken Arbolak provides another striking glimpse into Aschenโ€™s atmospheric and environmentally conscious take on black metal.
