The Evil Dead franchise is officially cranking up the gore again with the full reveal of its latest installment, Evil Dead Burn. After the massive commercial success of Evil Dead Rise, which famously pivoted from a streaming-only release to a $147 million theatrical win, Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema are clearly leaning into the brutal and relentless energy that has defined the series since Fede รlvarezโs 2013 reimagining.โ
While a previous teaser gave fans a chaotic, fly-through look at a house being torn apart by unseen forces, the new official trailer provides the first real look at the carnage. First shown behind closed doors at CinemaCon, the footage has now been released to the public, and it confirms that Evil Dead Burn isn’t pulling any punches.
The trailer sets a terrifying tone early on, featuring a mother confronted in her kitchen by a Deadite who has survived a particularly gruesome headrest impalement. From there, the clip devolves into a highlight reel of practical-effects horror: bodies being slammed into sharp kitchenware, a victim falling into a dishwasher full of knives, and a truly unsettling sequence involving a Deadite and boiling wax.
โโThe film appears to be doubling down on the claustrophobic horror that made the 2013 and 2023 entries such hits with modern audiences. With the studio riding a wave of positive momentum, Evil Dead Burn looks poised to be one of the grittiest and nastiest horror events of the year.
