Berlin-based post-black metal outfit Nidare have released a new single titled Schweigen, offering the first preview of their upcoming, as-yet-untitled second full-length album.
Clocking in at seven minutes, the track ditches standard metal lyricism to confront systemic silence and the protection of abusers over victims. The single arrives alongside a bleak performance video, setting a heavy tone for the band’s next full-length chapter following their earlier work.
Formed by veterans of the German underground with ties to acts like Ancst, Henry Fonda, Ast, Chambers, and Afterlife Kids, Nidareโs sound bridges atmospheric black metal, screamo, and post-metal. Their arrangement relies on blast-beat dynamics interspersed with heavy doom passages, balancing intricate guitar melodies against aggressive hardcore-derived vocal delivery.
The release comes as the group prepares to hit the road across Europe for an extensive tour.
The new album drops in 2027.
