Finnish death/thrash outfit Jewel Throne have unveiled their new single, Dream World Dystopia, accompanied by an official music video. The track serves as the second teaser from their upcoming album, The Obsidian Sculptor.
Standing as the longest piece on the record, Dream World Dystopia trades straightforward structures for shifting arrangements, building through contrasting moods before landing on an extended classic metal guitar solo. It highlights the band’s blend of aggressive death and thrash metal with progressive and melodic elements.
Formed in 2019, the current line-up, comprising bassist Mika Sallanen, vocalist Jesse Huovinen, guitarist Toni Koskinen, and drummer Jouni Kurikka, has been established since 2020. Writing duties are primarily split between Sallanen’s music and Huovinen’s lyrics, with Koskinen contributing to the arrangements and the full band refining the final compositions.
Following three EPs released between 2020 and 2025 alongside their 2024 debut full-length, The Obsidian Sculptor marks the band’s next step in expanding their production and core sound.
Dream World Dystopia is out now, with The Obsidian Sculptor set for release on November 27th, 2026.
