Tell me a bit about your own music career and business?

BG: I’m BG creator of Local Band Smokeout which is an any genre any artist discovery show where we do interviews with bands that we find on our daily live show. Each show is usually 4-5 hours per day.

BG: California

What were some of your own favorite musical acts growing up?

BG: The Beatles / Motley Crue / Journey

What are some modern musical acts you’ve discovered or been jamming too lately?

BG: Windwaker is always playing from my speakers but lately I also really enjoy Accvused

So how exactly did you get involved in the Music Industry? The YouTube community?

BG: I used to be in bands back in the day but felt it wasn’t my calling. Youtube reactions started about 14 years ago from me and just started as me talking about all the bands we were playing shows with and jamming their music. 

Tell me a bit about Local Band Smoke Out and what made you start Local Band Smokeout?

BG: I originally pitched the idea to my band at the time and they though “reaction” videos were dumb (they didn’t really exist at the time), so this lit my ass on fire haha. I just started knocking out 2-3 a day…everyday. 

What has been your most rewarding & memorable experience in the YouTube community?

BG: Hitting 100k subscribers was insane. Years of work appeared to be paying off. I cried privately when I got the plaque and a written letter from YouTube. 

What is a struggle you have had to face and overcome as a content creator?

BG: My show is any genre and that tends to turn some people off, which I totally understand. I just love all different kinds of music and hope that people can appreciate trying and listening to different styles occasionally. 

Tell me all about your upcoming promo partnering with Warped Tour?

BG: It’s literally a dream come true working with them. I have been gifted the honor of interviewing some of the bands playing both days and hope that this can continue for many years to come. 

Any other neat plans you have coming up?

BG: Brian Welch (Korn) is joining me and his artist Zahna for a short chat August 1^st that will be a wildly fun interview for sure!

If you could invite any 3 musicians to dinner and to jam with after (Living or Dead) who would you chose and why?

BG: Paul McCartney, John Lennon and Mike Shinoda. This pairing of adding Mike Shinoda makes no sense but what a hell of a conversation between the 4 of us that would be haha!
