Progressive Metal endeavor Cavada Project has arrived with its debut single, Abraxas, a musical piece that serves as an existential manifesto for the newly formed studio project. Led by Chilean composer Juan Pablo Cavada, the venture was founded on the premise of returning a sense of soul to heavy music, intentionally distancing itself from detached technical virtuosity in favor of emotional depth. The launch is accompanied by a cinematic music video helmed by Abysmo Films.

Taking inspiration from the novel Demian by German Nobel Laureate Hermann Hesse, Abraxas explores the disruptive process of fracturing comfortable certainties to attain a higher level of self-awareness. The track invokes the deity of its title, symbolizing a point of balance where light and shadow, the divine and the demonic, are forced to coexist. Cavada, who handles both guitars and vocals, notes that his sonic architecture inhabits this exact space, balancing a deep melancholy that deliberately erupts into heavy power whenever the conceptual narrative demands it.

Positioned as an anti-systemic act in an era focused on immediate consumption, Cavada Project designs its material for the ritual of attentive listening, catering to audiences looking for complex atmosphere and introspection. The single was recorded across Estudios Piso 3 and Blinded Productions under the production guidance of Danny Barrera, guitarist for ร‰ntomos. Rounding out the studio lineup are bassist Javier Barahona and drummer Franco Mitchell. This debut marks the preliminary step toward a full-length studio album titled Karma 1, which aims to establish the project as a major revelation in the Chilean Metal landscape.
