Minneapolis death metal duo Cavernous Maw have released a music video for The Yeti Approaches the Wall. The track is taken from their new EP, Ancestral Lands Beyond the Antarctic Ice Wall, which is available now.

Formed by longtime collaborators Niilo Smith (vocals, guitar) and Ben Fagerness (drums), the project operates as a two-piece to maintain a direct songwriting process. The new material follows their debut EP, Primitive, expanding their death metal foundation with black metal and technical influences.

Recorded largely live in their practice space, Ancestral Lands Beyond the Antarctic Ice Wall serves as a concept release tracking a journey past the edge of the known world, exploring themes of exploration and human decline.
