If your idea of a good time involves painting your face, wandering into the woods, and plucking an ancient stringed instrument while screaming about Druids, Fir Bolg have you covered. The band are set to unleash their new album, Triskelion, on November 27 via Schwarzdorn Production.

The thirteen-track album draws on Celtic mythology, pagan rituals and traditional instrumentation, mixing black metal with tribal percussion, acoustic passages and the distinctly unexpected addition of a bouzouki. Because apparently, sometimes you need a stringed instrument to go with all those blast beats.

Fir Bolg have released lead single Drunemeton ahead of the album, offering a taste of what’s coming with sharp riffs, frenzied drum barrages and epic acoustic passages woven into a druidic hymn.
