Deciduous Forest, the Australian atmospheric black metal project helmed by Snjรณr (Graveir, Hebephrenique), have signed with Apocalyptic Witchcraft for the release of their upcoming sophomore album, Hymns of Time.

Following up on the 2025 debut Fields of Yore, the new record blends atmospheric black metal, neofolk, and blackgaze, expanding on the projectโ€™s signature theme of dark, sylvan landscapes. The songs on Hymns of Time were written and developed between 2020 and 2025, exploring themes of betrayal, regret, and loss across tracks such as Slaves, Dream of Days, Celestial Forests, and closer Hiraeth.

The album was recorded and mixed by Adam Merker (Aversions Crown, Disentomb) and mastered by Chris Themelco (The Amenta, Werewolves). Speaking on the new partnership, Apocalyptic Witchcraft head Conor Droney highlighted the strength of the Australian black metal scene, while Snjรณr noted the label’s commitment to the underground.

Hymns of Time will be released on CD and digital formats on January 29th through Apocalyptic Witchcraft.
