Polish Atmospheric Black and Epic Doom Metal solo venture Divine Sovereign has announced a new full-length album, Autaxia Chronicles: A House Divided, which is set for release through Wormholedeath. To introduce the project, the mastermind behind the studio venture has shared the record’s first single, Heresy, currently available via an online audiostream video.
The upcoming release marks the second chapter in the ongoing Autaxia Chronicles concept series, continuing the narrative established on the 2025 predecessor Dawn of a New Age. While the previous record framed religious fanaticism as a unifying catalyst that brought people together to combat oppression, A House Divided dissects the exact opposite phenomenon. The narrative shifts to examine how those identical systems of belief can violently fracture a civilization from within. The lore mirrors the real-world history of schisms and doctrinal civil wars across major world religions, translating these internal conflicts into a science-fiction setting where a newly independent planet faces a societal collapse as their psionic powers fade, driving their rulers to commit brutal rituals in a desperate bid for immortality.
Musically, Divine Sovereign pulls heavily from the epic and atmospheric traditions of genre standouts like Ethereal Shroud, Panopticon, Gallowbraid, and Atlantean Kodex, weaving intricate soundscapes designed to explore religion as an engine of division rather than solidarity.
