Italian melodic death-doom quintet Shores Of Null have issued their fourth full-length album, Homesick, via Italian underground label Dusktone. Following extensive touring behind 2023โs The Loss Of Beauty, including dates alongside Swallow The Sun and Draconian, the ten-track effort marks the band’s return to long-form studio output.
Produced and engineered by Marco “Cinghio” Mastrobuono, the material balances heavy death-doom foundations with gothic metal melancholy and soaring vocal hooks. The production emphasizes structural revision over quick execution, featuring dynamic shifts that contrast abrasive, crushing low-end sections against intricate atmospheric passages.
Homesick analyzes the psychological weight of nostalgia, personal trauma, mortality, and the concept of home as both a point of refuge and emotional strain. The release is accompanied by a lead promotional single and video for The Numbing Void, featuring guest vocal contributions from Natalie Koskinen (Shape Of Despair) and violin arrangements by Shaun MacGowan (My Dying Bride).
Dusktone has released Homesick across physical and digital formats worldwide.
Homesick is out now.
