Colombian melodic black/death metal outfit Eshtadur have released their new full-length, In Darkness All Shadows Gone, via Rockshots Records, alongside a new video for the closing track Soy Real.
Four years in the making, the twelve-track album sees the band expanding their melodic black/death sound with the Caldas Symphonic Orchestra, Tuvan throat singing and guest guitar solos from members of Darkane, I Am Morbid and Banisher.
At the centre of the album is a shamanic figure known as The Crow, who moves through themes of death, isolation, fear and existential dread as the story unfolds.
Which is about as metal as it gets.
Musically, Eshtadur have broadened their usual approach with orchestral arrangements, darker atmospheric passages and a more cinematic feel, while keeping the guitars and extreme-metal foundations firmly in place. The album runs for around an hour across its twelve tracks, with Soy Real bringing the whole thing to a close.
In Darkness All Shadows Gone is out now via Rockshots Records.
