Finnish melodic death metal group Frostbite Terror have released their debut studio album, Into The Frozen Depths, available now via Inverse Records.

Hailing from Turku, the band built the album around a mix of real-world experiences and folklore, tracking a narrative arc that moves from frigid landscapes to battlefields. Initially conceived as a shorter EP, the project expanded into a full-length release with the addition of the track Maan Multa, introducing a melodic ballad alongside the record’s heavier, fast-paced arrangements.

Lead guitarist and composer Olli Kuure commented on the development of the record:

“We’ve been working on the record for a few years. The songs were ready around summer 2024, and naturally we wanted to publish them. Originally an EP, Into The Frozen Depths developed into an LP with the addition of “Maan Multa”. This song adds a nice ballad in the mix of blasting and grinding. Even though we may have had some setbacks, we are now finished and can introduce our debut record.”

Bassist and vocalist Otso Turunen added:

“This is going to be a versatile metal record with topics and subgenres from A to Z. Big thanks to everyone who has helped us out with this LP, now it is here!”
