German extreme metal outfit Aegror have inked a worldwide deal with Wormholedeath for a reissue of their latest record, Reign of Disease. Originally self-released in 2025 following an eight-year hiatus, the album was initially intended to mark the band’s final studio statement before unexpected underground traction prompted a full continuation of the project.

Thematic content across the record expands on the band’s established “Plaguebreeder Universe,” centering on an interdimensional entity that propagates systemic collapse, paranoia, and mental decay. Rather than relying on simple gore tropes, the narrative treats horror as a psychological force, linking societal breakdowns with internal corruption.

Musically, the recording pairs relentless blast beats and heavy guitar work with progressive structures, melodic lead work, and atmospheric shifts. The arrangements balance direct aggression with slower, melancholic passages designed to support the album’s overarching storyline.

Wormholedeath will issue the album across digital and physical formats early next year.

Reign of Disease releases January 8th, 2027.
