Athens-based progressive metal band Mother Of Millions have released The Wound, the lead single and music video from their upcoming studio album, T. The album is scheduled for a worldwide release on September 11th via ViciSolum Records.

Serving as the opening track of T, The Wound introduces a cinematic, narrative-driven progressive metal sound that balances heavy guitar work with atmospheric, melancholic soundscapes. The broader concept of the album bridges the historical poetry of 19th-century American writers with 20th-century Greek literature, translating classic reflections on conflict, devastation, and human resilience into a modern metal framework.

For The Wound, Mother Of Millions adapted the words of Walt Whitman to contrast the physical grimness of warfare with a message of psychological endurance.

The band shares:

“‘I am faithful, I do not give out’—We welcome you to our new era with The Wound. The song explores the physical devastation of war through the eyes of Walt Whitman, while reflecting our ability to endure wounds of both flesh and soul. We chose to adapt this 19th-century poem to open the record because it confronts the human cost of war with heavy imagery and, at the same time, carries a message of endurance: that inner strength and faith in collective power can lead us to overcome even the most impossible circumstances.”

The Wound is available now on all major digital music platforms, and the accompanying music video can be viewed on YouTube. T will be released in full on September 11th.
