Black metal projects Hessian and YHWH are set to release a collaborative split EP, Rapture and Perversion, arriving on July 24th via Wormholedeath Records.

Though the joint project was planned nearly a year ago, both bands paused its production to prioritize individual releases. The resulting split offers a seamless transition between two distinct, uncompromising approaches to occult black metal, combining atmospheric tension with aggressive, raw guitar work.

The EP marks a notable lineup shift for Hessian. Following a highly prolific period during which mastermind Laremy Wade contributed to over forty releases in a single year, Wade has stepped up to handle both guitar and vocal duties. He is joined once again by drummer Imperious Noctem to deliver a dense, razor-sharp performance.

Sharing the split is the Belgian-Thai occult black metal force YHWH. Known for their ritualistic approach, YHWH counters Hessian’s direct aggression with slow-burning, atmospheric intensity and dark, expansive soundscapes.

Rapture and Perversion will be available on all major digital platforms on July 24th.
