US black metal duo Stormruler have set December 4th as the release date for their next full-length, Morning Nautical Twilight, which will arrive via Distortion Music Group.

The band have also unveiled Chapter II: In The Eye Of Umbria, the first track from the album.

If you like your black metal with a hefty dose of high-fantasy lore, Stormruler aren’t exactly fucking around here. The band have built a multi-thousand-year universe called Aurelia around their music, with Chapter II: In The Eye Of Umbria introducing characters and expanding the wider story behind the album.

Musically, the track combines fast-paced black metal, intricate lead guitar work and harsh shrieks with groove-heavy passages and folk melodies, while Jesse Schobel’s drumming keeps everything moving at a fairly relentless pace.

Morning Nautical Twilight arrives on December 4th via Distortion Music Group.
