Norwegian black metal project Mannkvern have dropped Send Your Sons to Bury Your Daughters, the second single taken from their upcoming debut album, The Harlotโ€™s Wake.

Founded by multi-instrumentalist Orkana V (Man Gremmes Kan, Nattsol, Gnipaheller, ex-Ragnarok live) following a move from Norway to Poland, the six-year project blends Norwegian and Eastern European black metal influences with old hymnal structures. Session drums on the release were handled by K. Voster, alongside guest vocal appearances from Raum (Noen Hater Oss, Sjelferd), Embor (Mother Ov Light), Hellgrave (Grave Silence), and Maurice Wilson (Antrisch).

Thematically, Send Your Sons to Bury Your Daughters examines psychological decay, fanaticism, and the corruption of righteousness, framing a collapse where resentment turns neighbors into enemies. Addressing the broader concepts behind The Harlotโ€™s Wake, Orkana V shared:

“The album chronicles our inherent pull toward suffering and our need to believe in failing systems.”

Mannkvern are currently finalizing a full live line-up ahead of planned touring in 2027.

Send Your Sons to Bury Your Daughters is out now, with The Harlotโ€™s Wake scheduled for release via digital platforms.
