Greek progressive metal force Mother of Millions are wasting no time following up 2024’s acclaimed Magna Mater. The band has revealed that their next studio record, T, is set to land on September 11th, via ViciSolum Productions. Written and recorded against a backdrop of global unrest, the project is being framed as their most expansive and emotionally intense work to date.

The conceptual backbone of the record pulls from an unexpected pairing, bridging the gap between 19th-century American poetry and 20th-century Greek poetry. Rather than getting bogged down in historical abstraction, the songs focus heavily on the human toll of conflict, exploring the cyclical nature of loss, survival, and the divide between those who declare wars and those who must endure them.

The soundscapes mirror that tension, shifting between massive, aggressive guitar work, driving rhythms, and sweeping cinematic atmospheres. It is a record designed to sound like collapsing worlds, balancing a dark, heavy weight with a persistent sense of hope that holds steady even when everything else falls apart.

“T is the endless cycle of wars declared by the powerful and died in by the poor,” the band says of the record’s core theme. “We shaped these songs from the echoes of screams and laments, but also from hope. A stubborn hope that the sun will rise over the ruins of the world, over the war drums, over the thunderous heartbeats of people standing together. This is heavy music for heavy times.”
