Murdery has officially made their return with the new single Killing Grandma, marking the band’s first drop of new music since 2023โs Bloodshed. The track serves as a lead-in to their upcoming studio material and is already getting a trial by fire as part of the live set on their current Spring Annihilation Tour across Poland.
โThe band isn’t mincing words with this one, describing the track as a definitive statement piece. According to Murdery, the song represents a pivot toward a more direct and aggressive sound. While their previous work had its moments of polish, Killing Grandma takes a much more raw, groove laden Death Metal approach designed specifically for the stage, or as they put it, “more punch in the face.”โ
Itโs a move that fits their pedigree. Having shared stages with the likes of Napalm Death, Brujeria, and Hatebreed, Murdery has built a reputation for blending old-school Death Metal roots with a modern, groove-driven attack. This latest single feels like a natural evolution of that European underground sound, stripped back and optimized for the club circuit and festival stages alike.
